DOES your pug look like Prestcott or your moggy like Maggie?

If so, we want to hear from you, as we join the quest to help leading veterinary charity PDSA find the UK’s best celebrity pet look-alikes.

So if you think your bundle of love shares a striking resemblance to a famous face or character, give the Guardian a call or send us in a snap with a note to say who their celebrity double is - just in case we can't guess!

It will then be entered into PDSA’s annual Pets Gallery Competition and you could be in with a chance of winning a digital camera and a framed photograph of your award-winning friend.

Lisa Nickless, spokeswoman for PDSA, said:“We’re searching for pets that resemble famous people.

“So if your dog, cat, hamster or even goldfish looks like a pop star, actor or MP, then why not take a photograph."

There is also a category for ‘Most Photogenic Pet’, so you could still be in with a chance of winning even if your pet does not look like a celebrity.

Photographs submitted will be displayed in their local PDSA shop for the duration of the competition. The selected winning photograph will also feature on PDSA’s website.

The competition is free to enter but donations of £1 to the charity would be gratefully received.

Lisa said: “We want all pets to be completely natural, so no clothes or accessories please.

"By giving a donation, you will also be helping PDSA to carry out its vital work of providing free veterinary treatment to the pets of people in need across the UK.”

The closing date of the competition is Friday July, 31, and winners will be announced in September.

PDSA regrets that it cannot return photographs. By submitting photographs entrants are agreeing to the terms and conditions* of the competition.
