AN author will be transporting children on a magical journey to a land of witches and wizards.

Tracey Rolf, 45 from Waltham Abbey will be reading her fantasy stories The White Witch of Spiton and The Book of Dreams to pupils from Epping Primary School.

The author has risen to success since the release of her first book and her stories can now be bought in bookshops up and down the country.

She said: “My first book came out in 2007 and I'm writing a third book at the moment which is based on King Harold.

"There's a lot of history in Waltham Abbey and my first book was based on the witches shop in the Abbey. I thought it would be a really good story to have a little girl who has a grandmother who owns this witches shop.”

Tracey will be talking to the pupils in Epping Library on St John's Road where she will give them a lesson in creative writing.

She said: “I've been writing since I was ten and now I get an amazing reaction from children. I don't have any of my own so I think the books are my inner child coming out.

"It surprises me how children get lost in the story as I read to them.”

Tracey's books can be bought in most book shops and from amazon.com.
