A VETERINARY surgery is holding an open day this weekend to celebrate a move to a new premises.
The VetCall Veterinary Surgery is holding a fun day to celebrate the opening of refurbished premises in Station Road, Chingford.
The new centre will be able to enhance the level of care it has been giving to its patients since opening in 1997.
Its new facilities include two state of the art operating theatres, equipped with specialist monitoring equipment for an array of animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and reptiles.
The centre also offers separate cat and dog wards to reduce stress, particularly among feline patients and provides a 24-hour service.
Vet Stephen Posnett said: “Our first ten years in Chingford have been fantastic and we're grateful for the support we've received from pet owners in the area.
“We have really enjoyed helping them care for their pets and being with them through joy and harder times and believe we've established a reputation for thoroughness and accessibility.
“We hope our clients, past, present and future will join us for our open day. We'll give them a glimpse of what happens day to day in a veterinary practice and show them the great facilities we have.”
During the open day there will be tours, demonstrations, competitions, and a BBQ.
VetCall will be raising funds for Hedgehog Rescue, Forest Fox Rescue, and South Essex Wildlife Hospital.
The open day takes place from 10am to 5pm on Sunday, July 12 at VetCall new premises at 113 Station Road.
