A teenage girl who suffered head injuries after a crash on Tuesday night has left hospital and returned home.
The 17-year-old was thrown clear of her black Mini Cooper after it hit a telegraph pole on Honey Lane, Waltham Abbey on Tuesday (July 7).
She was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow where she was treated for head injuries, lacerations and bruising.
A spokesman for Essex police said: "I am pleased to say that the 17 year old girl in the crash in Honey Lane was released from hospital on the 12th to recover at home."
The crash, the latest in a long line of accidents on the road, has sparked a community campaign from residents to get the speed limit lowered.
Many of those living on Honey Lane are still waiting for their phone lines to be restored after the car struck the telegraph pole.
