THE great and the good were honoured at Braeside Senior School's annual prize-giving ceremony.
A marquee was set up at the girls' school, in Buckhurst Hill High Road, and before the awards were handed out a musical performance of Snow White, from members of both the junior and senior schools, was enacted.
Special guest this year was Buckhurst Hill district councillor Ann Haigh who delivered a speech before presenting the prizes which included awards for academic and sporting prowess as well as attendance.
School secretary Jackie Amey said: “It's a lovely day that's the culmination of the end of the academic year when our leavers are invited back to say goodbye with their parents to the teachers.
“It was quite different this year because we have a new head Gillian Haddon and it was the end of her first year.”
