The District Council has agreed to give £38,000 to turn a Waltham Abbey estate into a gardener's paradise.
The Ninefields estate in Waltham Abbey will get the funds, diverted from the council's housing revenue account, to trim trees, plant flowers, bushes and cut lawns.
Last year the council invested £64,000 into the scheme and hope that the extra cash will allow them to finish work on the estate a year earlier than planned.
Last summer 106 residents on the Shernbroke Road side of the estate told the council they were happy for the works to go ahead.
