DEDICATED staff at an Ilford supermarket raised more than £800 for charity when they climbed to the top of Mount Snowdon.
Marks and Spencer staff Nicola Morris, Liz Collins, Lorraine Vincent, Fabienne Aityounes and Tania Stephenson braved heavy rain to raise the cash for the Little Treasures Children’s Trust in Romford.
The charity provides support for children who suffer with disabilities and life-threatening conditions.
Irfan Patel, the store manager of Marks and Spencer in Ilford, said: “It’s really exciting to be celebrating our 125th anniversary and raising money for such a worthwhile cause.
“It was a huge effort by Nicola, Liz, Lorraine, Fabienne and Tania to climb Mount Snowdon and we’re very proud of their achievement.
"The support that all our staff and customers have shown so far has been terrific and we really hope that all our fund-raising efforts will help make a difference to the charity.”
Staff hope to raise even more for the charity over the coming months with a variety of fund-raising events.
