BUDDING young journalists at a Woodford Green secondary got a chance to grill a Guardian reporter when he popped into their school for a chat.
Our man in sport Ross Davies paid a visit last Wednesday to Trinity Catholic High School to talk to students about his job.
Ross, a former Trinity pupil himself, talked about his time covering games, interviewing sports men and women and how the newspaper is put together.
He said: "The kids seemed to really enjoy it, which was good.
"It was very rewarding and they were amazed to find out about shorthand. They were very interested in that.
"They asked me lots of very good, perceptive questions about being a sports reporter. It was a pleasure to be there and to return to my old school."
