The Larder, which recently celebrated its second anniversary, has been voted as serving the best coffee in Wanstead. Although we are very proud of this it doesn’t come as much of a surprise! Since we opened our driving ambition has been quality. This quality carries through in everything we offer here, from our personal, friendly customer service to the products on the shelves and our freshly made to order lunches.
We have a fully licensed café where we prepare gourmet sandwiches and salads to eat on the premises or to take away. We offer an extensive, carefully selected range of wine from respected New and Old World producers and host regular wine tasting evenings. We also have a selection of artisan brewed beers, many of which are local and organic, along with a few choice single malt whiskeys.
Our cheese counter cannot be matched locally for its superb choice. British cheeses come from Neals Yard Dairy whilst all of our French cheeses are ordered directly from Paris.
We strive to work with small, artisan producers with everything from our coffee, which is hand roasted by Union Coffee to our bakers; each morning we receive freshly baked bread and Viennoiserie from French baker Boulangerie Jade.
All of this is on offer in a beautiful retail space: great care was taken in creating The Larder to be appealing to all of the senses. If you haven’t been in to see us we hope you do soon. If you are already a customer we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in helping us achieve our dream: a community based, quality driven business that benefits us all!
If you’d like to talk about wine tastings, outside catering, whiskey, cheese, coffee or cake, don’t hesitate to contact us.
