The woman was withdrawing her pension from a post office in Lea Bridge Road, Walthamstow at about 3.45pm on July 13.
She was then attacked from behind as she walked along Avondale Road and the money was stolen.
The victim was found lying in the street and witnesses said they saw two possible suspects driving off in a grey Audi A3.
She suffered a grazed arm and hand and a bump to her head in the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment.
