FAMILIES were entertained by a band at an annual event on a town green.
The Epping Forest Band's Proms on the Green in Epping was well attended despite the bad weather.
Town Mayor Janet Hedges said: “It was fantastic and there were a lot of people there even though everyone was looking up at the sky wondering if it was going to rain.
"But we were really lucky and the band were marvellous. Lots of families turned up because it's that sort of event, and there was a varied programme of music.”
Well know songs such as Land of Hope and Glory and the National Anthem were played, along with theme tunes from films and a London themed medley.
