A FOURTEEN-year-old girl was slashed across the face during an attempted robbery in Montague Road, Leytonstone.
The girl was walking along the street at around 8.45am on Thursday, January 8 when she was approached by three older teenage girls.
The first girl asked "Have you got anything good on you?", to which the girl replied "no".
The three girls then verbally abused their terrified victim and the first girl pushed her, causing her to hit her head against a wall.
The third girl then said "I've had enough of this" and produced a knife which she slashed in the direction of the girl, causing a one-inch cut near her eye.
The girl fell to the ground and the gang fled empty handed. She did not attend hospital but was later treated by her doctor and was said to be badly shaken at the time.
The first girl is described as black African, around 17, and 5ft 3ins tall. She was wearing a light green parka style jacket which came down to slightly above the knee. She also wore blue jeans and white Nike Air trainers with a black tick on the side.
The second was also black African, 17, 5ft 5ins tall, wearing a dark green parka-style jacket, dark coloured trousers with white Chinese writing and white trainers.
The third girl, also black African, was 18, 5ft 7ins tall, wearing a grey hooded jacket with black sleeves and the words Schott NYC on the back. She wore the hood up and also wore dark trousers and white trainers.
