AN ELDERLY woman required hospital treatment after an attack with no apparent motive.
The 79-year-old was walking along Mornington Road, Leytonstone, at around 5.15pm on Monday, January 5, when she was approached from behind by two teenage boys.
She was hit on the head with what is only described as a heavy object and sustained a cut to the head and heavy swelling. She was taken to Whipps Cross University Hospital where she stayed overnight.
The first boy was black, 17, and 6ft tall, and the second was white, 16, and wore a long jacket. Information to Leyton police on 8529 8666.
