FATHER and son publicans have each been fined £165 for playing music too loudly during a party in their pub.
John and Tommy Freeman, of Walthamstow, ran the Globe pub, in Halstead, Essex, until earlier this month.
The pair appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where they admitted breaching a noise abatement notice imposed last August.
Steven Hopkins, prosecuting for Braintree Council, said a neighbour complained about music coming from the pub at about 10.40pm on June 26. Environmental health officers went inside the complainant’s house, where the music was “still audible”.
John Freeman, 62, of Mount Pleasant, and Tommy Freeman, 22, now of Myrtle Road, stopped running the Globe on July 10.
