A LEYTON-based charity is to host a six-week youth drama project.
Young people from Waltham Forest, Newham and Hackney will get the chance to test their acting ability with the course, run by the African Heritage and Education Centre (AHEC).
Open to children aged 11 to 16, there will be daily sessions focussing on issues including immigration and identity.
It will be run by three former AHEC service-users who are all currently studying contemporary theatre at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The summer course will finish with two performances on August 21 and 22, at the Forest Community Centre, in Clyde Place, Leyton.
The summer course is free and participants do not have to be available for the whole six-week period.
