SIX Waltham Forest schools have received a cash boost thanks to the fundraising of a nationwide pizza chain.
Domino's Pizza sold 2,500 of their tasty treats to visitors to school fates and decided to donate half their proceeds to schools, raising £2,230 for local primary and secondary schools.
Antony Tagliamonti, owner of the Domino's store in Old Church Road, Chingford, said: “As a local business, we're keen to deliver more in our community and are delighted to support local schools.
“Times are tough at the moment and I'm sure it's more difficult than ever for schools to raise funds. I'm more than happy to help with the school's requests and the activity works so well that they continue to return to us year after year.
“We were very pleased to be able to help fete-goers a tasty way to help raise funds this summer.”
Chase Lane Primary, Yardley Lane Primary, Larkswood Primary, Ainslie Wood Primary, and Chingford Foundation School and Thorpe Hall Primary all benefited from the cash.
All Domino's 576 stores across Britain have to find ways of supporting the community they serve.
