SUMMER fun for the young was on offer all week at Loughton Methodist Church's holiday club.
More than 160 children attended the church, in Loughton High Road, which has offered craft, singing and story-telling events.
The subject for this year's holiday club was Showstoppers, and by the end of the week the church hall was filled with artwork, collages and models on the chosen theme.
A special service was also held summing up the week's activities and some of the children's favourite songs and stories were given an extra airing.
Methodist church minister Rev Tony Morling said: “Holiday Club is always a brilliant week with special outreach to children from the local community as well as from our church.
“This year’s theme is brilliant as it uses drama, creative arts and dance to tell the stories of Jesus. Britain has got talent, but so has Loughton.”
