POLICE are hunting for an intruder who was found wandering through an Ongar home by its owner yesterday (Thursday, July 23).
The woman entered a home on Green Walk, through an unlocked door shortly after 11am, before being disturbed.
She is described as a white woman, aged 45-50, 5ft 5in, with a tubby build and straight blonde hair. She was wearing an Alice band or scarf in her hair, a flowery blouse and a skirt.
Although no items were stolen or damaged, police have renewed their appeal for homeowners to be keep their doors and windows locked.
An Essex police spokeswoman said: “We are looking for anyone who saw this female hanging around the area or possibly going from door to door to contact us, this incident happened during the day.
