A GRANDMOTHER is angry because fly-tipped rubbished she reported to the council three weeks ago has still not been collected.
Maureen Goodwin contacted the authority about the build up of rubbish behind HL Hawes and Son Funeral Director in Kingsley Gardens in Chingford on July 6.
However, while some the waste has been collected today (Friday) there were 11 bags full of rubbish lying yards from her home.
Mrs Goodwin, who has six grandchildren, said: “It makes me angry that there is rubbish being dumped so close to our homes.
“This is a nice little cul-de-sac and we don't want rubbish being dumped here. There is human hair being dumped from a hairdresser and it is being put near where the funeral director brings in the dead bodies. I don't think that's very nice,” she said.
The rubbish has not been collected despite Mrs Goodwin making repeated calls to the council.
She said: “They don't seem that bothered. I always get told 'we'll collect it the next day.' It's not good enough.”
The Guardian is awaiting a response from the council.
