A SUMMER sports programme for children and young people began today (Monday).
Leyton Orient Community Sports Programme (LOCSP) is running a wide variety of sports activities throughout the summer.
A variety of sports are on offer across the borough including football, handball, basketball, tennis, and cricket.
There will also be sports camps, activities and courses as well as a cross-borough seven-a-side football league.
The activities, some of which are free, take place at the Score building in Oliver Road, Leyton, on Wanstead Flats and at Goals, in Chingford.
Paul Motion, LOCSP community development officer said: “All of our sessions are run by fully-qualified and CRB-checked staff and we are looking forward to seeing our regular participants as well as anyone who hasn’t been to one of our sessions before but wants to play sport this summer.”
