NATIONAL Play Day will be celebrated by children in the district with a range of activities organised for the occasion.
The Epping Forest Play Partnership is trying to show how important play is for children and has arranged fun and exciting activities at venues across the district on August 5.
The Summer Play Scheme will be held on the day at the Chigwell Metropolitan Police Club between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
There will be two Play in the Park sessions, one at Roding Valley Meadows, Loughton between 10am and 12pm and the other at Queens Community Hall Playing fields in North Weald between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
Full details of the activities organised by the district council can be found in the Summer Activities 2009 brochure available from the council offices or by visiting eppingforest.gov.uk.
