STAFF from an estate agents were left standing out on the street for two hours after someone jammed their door with super-glue.
The workers from Nicholson's Estate Agents on Epping High Street arrived at their office to find the bolts on the shutters at the front of the shop had been stuck with super-glue and they were unable to open up.
Owner Michael Wright said it was not the first time it had happened.
He added: “ It happened about a year ago and they did the same thing and put super-glue on the bolts on the shutters.
"There was no way we could get in and we had to wait around for two hours for someone to come and take the bolts out. We deal with property management and we couldn't do anything.
"I have no idea why someone would do this. It could be youngsters who have got nothing better to do and think it's a good idea. It was very annoying and it wasted our time.
"Everyone has to put in the hours at the moment with the recession and, although we aren't too affected by that, we still have to work hard, so for all the staff to have to stand out on the street for two hours was very inconvenient.”
Inspector Craig Carrington from Epping Police said it was an isolated incident.
He added: “It's a very rare offence and we haven't had any other reports of this in the area. There could be many reasons why someone might do this and I wouldn't want to speculate.”
