THE family of a popular sportsman who died in a motorcycle accident in Thailand are to launch a charity in his name.
Kenneth Ibrahim, known as Kenny, died in May following an accident in Phuket, where he had gone to attend a summer-long Thai boxing camp.
The 27-year-old Tottenham Hotspur fan enjoyed sport, playing football for Brimsdown Rovers, and was a keen fan of music.
Now Kenny's family are to launch a charity, called the KNI Foundation.
The charity's purpose will be to establish and run sports and performing arts programmes, and to support gifted and talented people.
Kenny's brother Dean said: “We want to do something to provide the community with activities and help young people off the streets.
“There are not many charities which support both arts and sports, and that is what we hope the KNI Foundation will do.”
A special night of entertainment, called One Love, will be held in October to launch the charity.
It will include live music and DJs, dancers, auctions and a buffet.
The event will be held on October 17,at the County Hotel, 30 Oak Hill, Woodford Green from 7pm to 1am.
Kenny lived in New Road, Chingford, with his parents Tina and Ken.
