A NEW business has promised to bring the building trade to the high street.
Susi Renovations Interiors opened on Loughton High Road with an eye-catching display from artist Kinch who has designed a mural especially for the store.
As well as offering the usual services of interior design and extension work, the shop specialises in restoring art deco furniture, and the artwork reflects this.
Kinch said: “I just saw the shop and thought I'd go in and have a chat. I was going to suggest a mural and he took the words right out of my mouth. We looked around the shop and saw so much beautiful art deco. I think the piece shows up so well everything there.”
Susi Renovations director Murray Silver said: “We wanted to showcase his talents and merge that with the fact we have an interest in art deco. People have gone past and stopped to look.”
Mr Silver runs the business with his wife Sue who is already known in the district as the developer behind the new 119 home eco-community due to be built at White Lodge off Sewardstone Road.
He said: “We are trying to improve the reputation of the building trade. We are not about ripping people off. We are a building firm but on the high street.”
