Despite the economic downturn, new paid full-time roles have become available for a number of nurses to work with St Clare's Hospice in Hastingwood.
The new positions have become available after improvements in the Hospice's referral scheme saw the number of patients rise month on month.
The new online referral forms mean more local people will be able to benefit from the Hospice's services, including complimentary therapy and new carers groups.
But the higher numbers mean a bigger staff is needed.
Giles Wright, St Clare Communcations manager said: “The flip side to the projected increase in referrals is the urgent need for more staff to cope with the demand. We are currently looking to recruit Registered Nurses, Occupational and Physiotherapy staff, enabling our clinical developments to continue.”
A Recruitment Fair is taking place at St Clare on the 8th August from 10am-2pm.
Recruitment information and the new referral forms can be found on the Hospice website, www.stclarehospice.org.uk
