A MAN had a lucky escape after his car flipped on its roof.
The collision between a Renault Megan and a Jaguar in Larkswood Road, Chingford, resulted in five cars being damaged, but no-one was hurt.
Witnesses said the Megane spun in the air before landing close to the junction with Ainsley Wood Gardens.
Gary Payne, 54, of Larkswood Road, was one of many residents who rushed to the scene of the accident.
He said: “Within moments I and other residents were on the sceen to assist. The driver had managed to climb out of the upside down vehicle and appeared to be very shaken with what seemed only to be minor cuts."
Mr Payne says action must be taken to address poor visibility caused by commercial vehicles parking near the junction.
The 24-year-old Megane driver was taken to Whipps Cross University Hospital with back and shoulder pain.
