A TEENAGER was stabbed in the chest after a fight broke out in a quiet Walthamstow street.

The 18-year-old suffered a punctured lung, broken ribs and a superficial stab wound to the chest after an altercation with three men in the Billet Road area on Saturday, January 17.

The teen and his 25-year-old friend parked their car in the quiet side street, which police have asked us not to name, at around 9.30am when three men come out of a house and approached them.

The youths, aged 17, 22 and 20, were carrying an iron bar and knives. The teenager was attacked and stabbed. The 25-year-old was hit over the head with an iron bar while trying to help his friend.

The attackers then ran off towards a house. Police managed to arrest three men after extensive searches of the property.

They have all been bailed to return to Chingford police station in April pending further inquiries. The teenager was taken to the Royal London Hospital for treatment while his friend was treated by paramedics and released.
