A LEYTONSTONE man appeared at the Old Bailey today (Wednesday) accused of the murder of Jade Defoe.
Jade Defoe, 26, died following a street attack on the Leytonstone/Stratford border on April 20.
He suffered head injuries during the attack and died in hospital on April 24.
Christopher Farley, 33, of Kingswood Road, allegedly threw the punch which caused Mr Defoe's death.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey again on September 1.
Mr Defoe, a father-of-three, was the half-brother of Tottenham and England footballer Jermain Defoe and was also well known as a 'grime rapper' under the name Esco Bars.
