RAM raiders smashed into the front of a supermarket which has been targeted by thieves four times in as many months.
Tony Ayodele, manager of Budgens in Highams Park, says he is having sleepless nights after the relentless crime wave, which has cost his business £17,000.
CCTV images show a white van being driven into the store’s front doors. Two masked men then rush to the cigarette counter, but leave empty handed and drive away.
The store was also raided on May 28, April 11 and March 23. In one burglary, thieves entered the shop through a roof window.
Father-of-three Mr Ayodele, who has been running the Larkshall Road store since January last year, says the break-ins have caused considerable anxiety to him and his family.
He added: “I am wondering when it will end. My biggest fear is that I will get a call in the middle of the night saying that the store has been broken into again. I have been having plenty of sleepless nights.
“Each day I go in the morning and I haven't been disturbed I thank God.
“If there is a police presence during the early hours of the morning then I think they may have more chance catching these thieves.”
