REVELLERS are getting busy assembling their novelty outfits as the line-up for this year's Offset Festival is announced.

After a successful first season in Hainault Country Park last September, the one-day event formally known as the TMF rock festival, is back as a weekender for the second year.

The 8,000 capacity party will take place on September 5 and 6, with Mercury Prize nominee The Horrors headlining on the main stage.

They will be joined by another 150 artists on another seven stages, including all-female punk legends The Slits and pop-indie guitar band the Futureheads.

Newer talent includes romantics Bombay Bicycle Club, hot rockers Wild Beasts and psychedelic garage poppers Inpso Facto.

Sammy Cook, 28, has already bought her ticket for this year's Offset after enjoying it in its first year in 2008.

She said: “I can't wait for this year's festival as the line up's even better than last time.

“Out of all the festivals I really enjoy this one as it's a bit more chilled out and the park is so beautiful.

“Last year the weather was pretty nice but it's so uncertain at the moment I'll be packing both my wellies and my sunglasses.”

In a new addition to the park, shopaholics will be catered for this year with a giant indoor vintage fashion market offering one-off pieces and bargains for the hunters.

There will also be a funfair, performance art, world food stores and a rare breeds farm.

Festival organiser Kieran Delaney said: "Offset is shaping up to be even better in our second year - the quality of the artists performing is incredibly high, and with bands traveling over from America, France, Portugal and Italy, it should be a very special year."
