POSTAL deliveries across East London and Essex could be interrupted today by the first in a series of strikes.
The Communication Workers Union (CWU) which represents postal workers is staging the industrial action because of a dispute with Royal Mail management over the implementation of a 2007 agreement aimed at modernising the service.
The CWU is holding a national strike ballot next month to decide on further stoppages this autumn.
