THE district's motorbike enthusiasts are being urged to be extra cautious after two separate smashes over the weekend.
Paramedics were called to Broomstick Hall Road, close to the Green Man Pub in Waltham Abbey on Friday morning (August 7) after reports that a motorbike had collided with a car.
The rider, a man aged 20, was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow where he was treated for a leg injury.
On Saturday, crews were called to Stanford Rivers shortly after 3pm after a bike rider and sidecar passenger came off the road near The Woodman pub on London Road.
An spokesman for the east of England ambulance service said: "Thankfully it appears no-one was seriously injured over the weekend, but we urge all road users to be vigilant of one another to help prevent the accidents in the first place."
