AN EXHIBTION at Vestry House Museum features two very different tea sets.
'The Walthamstow Tea Service' is a hand painted set of porcelain cups, saucers and bowls, depicting local houses, many of which no longer exist.
It has long been a favourite of visitors at the museum in Vestry Road, Walthamstow, but a local artist and resident wanted to know more.
Artist Rachel I'Anson said: "The Walthamstow Tea Service really caught my eye. I took a photo and began to think about designs and pattern and the production of the tea service."
Ms I'Anson asked students at Kelmscott School in Markhouse Road, Walthamstow, how they would depict their own environment and together they produced of a modern tea service for the borough.
For the first time, both tea sets are displayed in full at the Museum until August 23.
