A Chigwell boy's dream came true this week after winning a competition to be a Manchester United mascot.
George Nolan, 10, of Manford Way, accompanied defender John O'Shea on to the Wembley turf before the Charity Shield clash with Chelsea on Sunday (August 9).
Proud mum Elaine said: "I did get a bit teary watching him, he was cool as a cucumber though and did me proud."
George said: "It was so much fun, all the players look tiny when you see them on TV, so it was a bit funny to see them up close.
"All my friends were a bit jealous, it was great."
