THE LEYTONSTONE Area Residents' Association (LARA) has come up with a novel way to help people take care of their gardens.
Conceived by resident Sarah Innes, the “share a garden” scheme encourages people to help tend unused gardens and to share the fruit and veg they grow.
The scheme has already benefited gardens in Kingswood Road and Chadwick Road and is described as a “bartering system” where residents can swap services and produce.
