A couple chose to raise money on their big day to remember family members who had lost their battle against cancer.
Carla and Roy Carroll decided to tie the knot and raise cash for causes close to their hearts.
Roy lost his dad Pat Carroll to cancer and the bride, Carla, lost her aunt Patricia Cant to pancreatic cancer in July 2006.
The couple chose to remember Mrs Cant, who lived in Ongar by handing out Cancer research badges to guests and making a small donation on their behalf.
Guests also placed a £1 bet on how long the speeches would be with the amount once again being collected for charity.
The ceremony at the Fennes in Braintree on July 24 raised £650, which was split between Cancer Research and the Meningitis Trust.
