CHILDREN learnt how to animate with plasticine, photography, video and drawing at a summer activity event.

The eight to 12-year-olds used different types of animation and were shown the basic methods by members of Youth Arts and Animation.

Participants were asked to use parts of their body to create an animation sequence at the event in St John's Hall, Epping.

Epping Forest Art Assistant Vanessa Gayton said: “It was absolutely brilliant. It was something very different for them to try and they really enjoyed it.

"In a few weeks their models made from plasticine and all their animation work is going to be on the Youth Arts and Animation website so they will be able to see their work online.”
