A WOMAN suffered a broken ankle after being pelted with rocks by a gang of youths as she walked her dog.
The 57-year-old was walking in Ive Farm Lane, in Leyton, when a group of five teenagers began to shout at and antagonise her dog.
The woman shouted at them to stop and the youths ran away, jumping over a fence.
A short while later the youths returned and pelted the woman with large stones.
The terrified pedestrian was taken to hospital and treated for a broken ankle and bruising.
Police have not issued a detailed description of the youths.
The attack happened on August 3, but police are only now releasing details of the incident.
