A 13-YEAR-OLD boy was sexually assaulted by a man in Walthamstow, and police are anxious to find more information about his attacker.
The boy had just got off the 97 bus at the Billet roundabout and was walking in Billet Road, when he was grabbed from behind and assaulted. His attacker then fled towards Cecil Road.
Det Sgt Mark Mills-Bishop of Operation Sapphire is urging the public to come forward with information.
He said: "The boy is white and of small build. Someone must have seen him on the bus. The week the incident happened is when children were going back to school, and I am hoping this will jog people's memories."
Information on the incident on Tuesday, January 6, at around 11.40am should be forwarded to DS Mills-Bishop on 8345 4606 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
