RESIDENTS are being asked to lend their support to a sponsored walk in Epping, in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.
The Memory Walk will take place on Saturday, September 12, at 12.30pm, heading from St Margaret's Hospital to Stonards Hill and into the forest before returning along The Plain.
Thousands of people will be taking part in the Memory Walks across the country during the month to raise funds to fight dementia.
Cllr Penny Smith, the Chairman of Epping Forest District Council, will be joining the walk having chosen the Alzheimer's Society as her charity for the year.
Anyone interested in taking part should contact Lisa Hayday on 01992 717 676 or email eppingforest@alzheimers.org.uk.
