SIX new conservation areas have been proposed for Loughton.
The town council proposals, which will be discussed at a meeting of the planning and licensing committee on Monday, relate to the Uplands area, the Ollards Road area of High Beech Road, Debden Green Hamlet, the Broadway, the Lower Parks, and Albion Hill.
In areas that are designated conservation areas, permission must be obtained from the local planning authority before any building is demolished, and councils have more power over minor developments.
The meeting takes place at 7.45pm at 1 Buckingham Court in Rectory Lane.
