WE are writing to express objections to the proposed development by Tesco in Highams Park.

We live in Larkshall Road and will have to suffer greatly if this goes ahead.

There are times during the day when the volume of traffic along this street ensures it grinds to a halt.

We have lived here 27 years and have noticed how traffic volume has increased, along with the pollution which is injurious to health.

We dread the continuous stream of traffic this will create without a thought for the residents.

When large lorries travel along the road, the house can begin to shake – just imagine the future with Tesco.

Children growing up in the houses along the way will suffer pollution levels which can seriously damage health.

Given a choice we would move, but in these troubled times and without large funds, we are forced to remain and feel totally powerless.

We use the local shops as we can walk to them and they will be completely wiped out if this development goes ahead.

Alan & Carmel King,

Larkshall Road,

Highams Park.
