MORE students than ever before have applied to study at the University of East London (UEL).
The university, based in the Docklands and Stratford, has reported a 15 per cent increase in the number of applications for full-time courses following the publication of A Level results yesterday.
The university has mushroomed in size in recent years and now has 21,000 students enrolled.
Students in Waltham Forest have achieved the borough's best eve results at A and AS level, with an average pass rate of 97 per cent.
