KNIGHTS and princesses turned out for a day of dragon-themed activities at Loughton Library.
The Traps Hill library invited three dragons along for the day while the 60 children who attended were encouraged to dress up too.
Stories were told, masks were made, and a game of what's inside the box was played with items to identify including troll's eyes and wizard's hair.
The day was part of the library's Questseekers summer holiday scheme which encourages children to read in a fun way.
Library group manager Karen Prentice said: “They really enjoyed it. One of the boys said at the end 'I don't want to go home. I want to stay here for ever'.”
