A MOTORCYCLIST who died in a motorway smash near Epping has been named by police.
Ian Collison, 46, of Mendip Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, was killed close to the M11 interchange just after 12pm on August 23.
An air ambulance was called bur Mr Collison, who was riding a red Honda motorbike, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both carriageways were closed for nearly two hours but no other vehicles were involved.
Investigations have already been carried out at the scene, where major works are taking place to widen the M25.
