The Green Mall Monster at The Mall
AN ENVIRONMENT awareness week is being held at a shopping centre this week.
The Mall, in Selbourne Walk, Walthamstow, is asking shoppers and retailers to recycle their coat hangers and help cut the 100 million that are sent to landfill each year.
The centre is providing bins for people to deposit their unwanted hangers and Green Driving School will be at the centre tomorrow (Friday) giving shoppers tips on Eco Safe driving.
On Saturday, ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ will be giving talks about ways to reduce this food waste.
There will also be give-aways and children can meet the Green Mall Monster.
