A CHARITY car wash is being held at a pub to raise money for injured British soldiers.
Kathy Waldrab, 27, supervisor at the Royal Oak pub in Kings Head Hill, Chingford, is raising money for Help for Heroes by washing as many cars as possible in exchange for donations.
She is being assisted by friends and family and E4 Hand Car Wash has provided free car washing materials.
Miss Waldrab said: “It's going really well. So far we've raised £100 and I'm hoping to get £300 by 6pm.
“It's tiring and my hands have gone really wrinkly from all the car washing but I'm really motived by the great cause.”
She has washed 15 cars so far today, which include 4x4s, vans and motorbikes.
The charity car wash ends at around 6pm (today).
During the evening she will put collection buckets on the bar for drinkers to make donations.
