POLICE are appealing for information after three men beat a local man in a "cowardly" attack in a nightclub.
The 21-year-old from Ongar suffered a broken ankle in the attack, which took place at Eclipse nightclub in Brentwood.
Police are appealing for information about the three assailants and have released CCTV images of men they would like to speak to.
The man was hospitalised in the attack, which took place between 1.30am and 2am on Sunday, May 10.
The men pulled the victim to the floor where they punched and kicked him in what police are describing as a "cowardly" attack.
Investigating officer, Pc Michael Horne said: “This cowardly attack occurred in a busy nightclub.
"We appeal for any members of the public to get in touch if they have any information which could assist our investigation.”
The three suspects are described as white men, aged between 24 and 30 years, and between 5ft 10in and 6ft.
The first is described as having a stocky muscular build, shaven brown hair and stubble, with tattoos on both upper arms and a large tattoo on his neck.
He was wearing tight a white T-shirt and dark trousers.
The second man was described as having brown/back combed hair and wearing a black shirt.
The third man had blond hair shaved around the back and sides but fairly long on top and was wearing a white shirt.
