THE North London Waste Authority (NLWA) has been shortlisted for a prize at the National Recycling Awards.
NLWA, which is chaired by former council leader Clyde Loakes, is responsible for waste disposal in seven London boroughs including Waltham Forest.
It has been nominated for its Watch Your Waste week last year and will be up against five other finalists including GlaxoSmithKline.
Cllr Loakes said: “It is a great honour to be chosen as a finalist for this prestigious award and regardless of the outcome we are delighted with what the campaign achieved.”
