MUSIC fans can help to raise money for a good cause at a concert in Wanstead this month.
The Wanstead branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is holding the event at St Mary’s Church in Overton Drive on Saturday, September 12.
East London Strings will be performing a varied programme, including works by composers Greig, Mozart, Vivaldi, Ravel and Gershwin, along with songs from famous musicals.
All the money raised will contribute towards the annual £147 million cost of running Britain’s lifeboats. This is the second time the ensemble has lent its talents to the charity - the first having raised over £800.
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8 and will be available on the door.
